Returns & Cancellation Policy

Rental cancellation, refund, weather, deposit, damage, and equipment return rules for Sofie's Castle.

Rental Services, Not Shipped Goods

  • Sofie's Castle provides inflatable rental services. We do not currently operate this website as a shipped-product store.
  • For Sofie's Castle, returns means cancellation, refund handling, deposit handling, weather rescheduling, and the condition of rental equipment returned after use.

Booking Requests

  • Submitting a booking request does not require payment and does not automatically create a confirmed booking.
  • If your requested date, rental, location, or setup cannot be accommodated, no rental payment is due.

Deposit

  • A $100 refundable deposit is currently used to secure a confirmed booking unless a written booking confirmation states otherwise.
  • The deposit may be applied against unpaid balances, missing items, damage, excessive cleaning, unsafe use, or failure to follow rental instructions.
  • If Sofie's Castle cannot provide the confirmed rental due to availability, route, equipment, or safety reasons, we will work with you on a refund or reschedule.

Customer Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel, contact Sofie's Castle as soon as possible so the date can be released.
  • Deposits are generally refundable when the booking is cancelled before dispatch, delivery, setup, or other rental work has started, unless your written booking confirmation says otherwise.
  • Short-notice cancellations may affect refundable delivery, setup, labour, or service charges if work has already started.

Weather And Safety Cancellations

  • Weather and safety decisions are handled safety-first.
  • If heavy rain, lightning, high winds, storms, unsafe ground, or other unsafe conditions affect the rental, Sofie's Castle may recommend rescheduling, crediting, cancelling, or delaying setup.
  • Weather-related deposit or payment handling will be confirmed with the customer based on timing, safety conditions, and whether delivery/setup has started.

After Delivery Or Setup

  • Once rental equipment has been delivered or set up, rental fees, delivery/setup fees, and service charges may be non-refundable unless Sofie's Castle confirms otherwise in writing.
  • Customers are responsible for following supervision, safety, weather, cleaning, and shutdown instructions during the rental period.

Equipment Condition And Damage

  • Rental equipment must be returned in substantially the same condition as delivered, normal use excepted.
  • Customers may be responsible for damage, missing parts, staining, excessive cleaning, water misuse, unauthorized movement, unsafe use, or damage caused by pets, food, drinks, sharp objects, face paint, silly string, confetti, shoes, overcrowding, or failure to follow instructions.
  • Sofie's Castle may deduct reasonable cleaning, repair, replacement, or recovery costs from the deposit or invoice additional amounts where needed.

Refund Timing

  • Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method or another agreed method where practical.
  • Bank, credit card, or payment platform processing times may vary and are outside Sofie's Castle's control.
